Flight Sim is a website that is dedicated to all aspects of flight simulation. There are many different articles and files on the site that give information about flight simulators or simulation. The website has a forum which is a community of people who have discussions on the subject. All of the files are available to download. There is an extensive list of articles on everything from new software, reviews, hardware and much more. A pilot shop is available and carries such things as software, hardware, movies, DVDs, books, apparel and aviation novelties. Gift certificates are also available for the Flight Sim site that can be used as a gift for someone who enjoys flying or would like to learn more about it. Membership is required on the site to be able to download files but it is totally free. Once registered, all that is required is to be logged in to the site. Bob Edwards A Voice You Have Heard Many Times
The name Bob Edwards may not ring a bell with many people, but once you hear the voice, you remember this radio icon. Mr. Edwards is best known as the host for the morning edition on public news radio for nearly 25 years. During this time, he has won countless awards for his work including the Edward R. Murrow award and the Gabriel award. He also has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Louisville in the year 1985. Let us take a closer look at Bob Edwards and how he got to be where he is. It is a story of how hard work pays off and you reap some of the rewards of your hard work.
Bob Edwards was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky and got his first radio job as a senior at the University of Louisville. It seems back them the radio bug bit him and it has never left him no matter where his career took him. Bob was drafted in 1969 and served in the U.S. Army, and put his radio experience to quick use even during this time of his life. Mr. Edwards worked on television and radio for the American Forces Korea Network while he was stationed in Korea. Once his service hitch was over, he pursued his masters degree in broadcast journalism at American University, and while there, he did work for an AM News station. This part-time job gave him valuable experience towards what he does today on a regular basis.
One of the biggest decision Bob Edwards made in his life came in 1974 when he joined National Public Radio as an associated producer. Many people did not think this was a company that would last, but it has. Mr. Edwards co-hosted All Things Considered, and eventually moved to a news show called Morning Edition for a few weeks. Those few weeks turned into a very long tenure. In 2004, though NPR executives decided they needed a replacement for Bob Edwards. Many people protested the change, but eventually Bob Edwards left to start his own show on XM satellite radio network. It has been a popular show for Bob Edwards and a great way to wind down his career. Bob Edwards and his wife have three children and one grandchild. Even though you may not be able to describe what Bob Edwards looks like his voice is something you can always recognize.
